Prince George's County sports the nation’s top aviation and aerospace attractions, from Andrew’s Air Force Base to the NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center to the world’s oldest continually operating airfield College Park Airport. It also boasts the Six Flags America theme and water park in Largo and the Rosecroft Raceway. Most notably, it is an area rich in history. Take a step back into 19th century military life at Fort Washington and travel to the National Archives in College Park where the Richard Nixon/Watergate tapes are kept. Also visit the infamous Surratt House, where the Surratts became involved in a plot to kidnap and then assassinate President Abraham Lincoln and where assassin John Wilkes Booth rested briefly as he fled Washington. Prince George’s County is located east of Washington, D.C., and has a population of over 800,000.
